Dr. Wesley Spruill, M.D. Dr. Spruill graduated from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 1987 with a doctor of medicine. His training includes three externships in Seattle, Wash. specializing in cancer pain, chronic pain and post-operative pain management. Dr. Spruill completed a pain fellowship in 1992 at the UAB Department of Anesthesiology. Dr. Spruill is certified by the American Board of Medical Examiners and American Board of Anesthesiology. He is a physician diplomat with the American Academy of Pain Management. He is a member of several organizations, including the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, the American Society of Anesthesiology, American Academy of Pain Management, McKenzie Institute, International Spine Injection Society and the National Headache Foundation. Other staff members include physical therapists specializing in pain relief and nursing staff experienced in treating pain and case managers. Dr. Rick Thomason, M.D.
Dr. Thomason graduated from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 2002 with a doctor of medicine. His training includes a four-year anesthesiology residency at the University of Kentucky from 2002 through 2006. He then went on to complete a one-year fellowship in interventional pain management at the University of Kentucky. Dr. Thomason is certified by the American Board of Medical Examiners and is eligible for board certification by the American Board of Anesthesiology. He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiology, International Spine Injection Society and the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Management. Dr. Barry Darden, M.D.
Dr. Darden graduated from the University Of Alabama School Of Medicine in 1987. He completed his surgical residency at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center in South Carolina. He also has additional training in thoracic and vascular surgery. Dr. Darden is board certified in surgery by the American College of Surgeons and has extensive clinical experience in the management of all areas of surgery, including critical care, trauma and post-operative care. Dr. Darden now dedicates 100 percent of his medical practice to the evaluation and treatment of SpineCare Center patients. |
