Physical Therapy Component
Working with physicians and SpineCare Center staff, the goal of the center's physical therapy is pain reduction to facilitate increased physical activity and restoration of function. Our reconditioning program progresses the patient to a more active lifestyle. By providing state-of-the-art treatment methods, our patients are given exciting options for pain relief, including:
- Matrix: a nonsurgical treatment that provides superior relief of acute and chronic pain conditions. Electrical stimulation can stop the transmission of pain signals in the body without the use of needles or injectibles, which has earned Matrix a reputation of success.
- VAX-D: Vertebral Axial Decompression (VAX-D) is a nonsurgical therapy developed for the treatment of persistent lower back pain. VAX-D therapy is designed to relieve pressure on structures that may be causing low back pain. It relieves the pain associated with herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, posterior facet syndrome and radicular pain.
Case Management
At the SpineCare Center, case management means care management. By coordinating the efforts of our specialized treatment team, the case manager helps guide the patient through the rehabilitation process, from evaluation to case closure. Our goal, working with the patient and the treatment team, is to achieve successful outcomes in a timely manner.
